The Field Spaniel is a highly versatile, incredibly elegant, and deeply affectionate flushing spaniel. Slightly longer and lower than a Springer or Cocker, they possess a stunning, glossy black or liver coat and were bred for tireless endurance in dense, unforgiving cover.
The Field Spaniel is famously docile, highly sensitive, and intensely eager to please. They are much calmer indoors than other spaniels, provided they receive massive amounts of vigorous daily exercise. They are deeply devoted to their family but can be naturally aloof with strangers. Their beautiful, feathered coat requires regular brushing and occasional trimming.
